The register

Mining assets and critical mineralsacross Africa.

The full pipeline, from greenfield ground through exploration and development to producing operations. Evidence is graded openly rather than averaged: an asset carrying a resource reported under NI 43-101 or JORC is marked as such, one resting on certified assays is marked as that, and early stage ground is not dressed up as either. The mineral, the stage and the state are open. The operator, the licence and the exact location are not, and are released only to compliance cleared members on an approved request.

Why African mining assets are hard to buy, and what we changed

01

Verified before it is listed

An asset does not appear here because someone uploaded it. It appears once our team has reviewed the evidence, or an independent party has verified it. What that evidence amounts to is then stated plainly: a resource reported under NI 43-101 or JORC, certified assay results, a licence confirmed with the regulator, or early stage work that has not reached any of those yet. The grade is the disclosure, not a badge everything gets.

02

De-identified by design

Mineral rights are commercially sensitive. Naming an operator and a location publicly invites speculation and encroachment, and weakens the holder's negotiating position before a conversation has started. So the public view carries the commodity, the stage and the state, and nothing that identifies who holds it or precisely where it sits.

03

Structured for capital

Africa produces roughly a quarter of the world's gold and holds a significant share of the lithium, tantalum and rare earth resource base. Most of it stays invisible to capital because the diligence material never reaches a usable state: scanned reports, uncertified assays, unclear title. Turning that into something an investment committee can read is the work, whether the asset is greenfield or already in production.

04

Direct with the licence holder

Applications are accepted from the owner, the operator or an authorised officer of the licence holder, never from a broker or an intermediary. We verify with the holder directly, and the listing stays de-identified throughout. You decide who is told what, and when.
